Tinker doesn’t know who you are. It counts how rooms get played so we can make them better, and that’s it.
In the app
- How rooms are played. The App Store and TestFlight builds send anonymous gameplay events to PostHog (EU servers): which rooms you open, the moves you make, when you solve, skip or ask for a hint, and a few settings such as sound, text size and whether VoiceOver is on. They’re tied to a random ID made on your device, not to your name, email or Apple Account.
- Your progress. Saved on your device and, if iCloud sync is on in Settings, in your own iCloud through Apple. We can’t see it.
- Purchases. Handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Nothing else. No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, no location, contacts, photos or microphone.
On this website
- The launch list. If you leave your email address, we keep it and the date you left it, on Cloudflare, and use it only to tell you when Tinker is out or when the beta changes in a big way.
- No cookies, no trackers. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies.
Your choices
Email hello@tinkerpuzzles.com to take your address off the launch list, or to ask what we hold about you and have it deleted. Deleting the app removes its data from your device; turning off iCloud sync in Settings stops progress going to iCloud.
Children
Tinker is for everyone and asks no one for personal information.
